2016 Photographic Summary
For me 2016 was what it was! There were great accomplishments mixed with some bumps in the road on a personal level. I tried my best to remain focused and get through them and came out at the end as unscathed as possible.
I have included a few of this years work.
The Bronx Women's Photo Collective launched on January 1, 2016 to great reviews and subsequent accomplishments. Partnering up with two amazing artists was the highlight of my year. We kicked ass! Our first group show at Lincoln Hospital Medical Center in the South Bronx was a success and we haven't looked back since. Below are the pieces created for The Living Latina series.
Regeneration of Love, created for Valentine's Day and with a friend in mind <3
The Evolution Of Boy, A reminder that my baby boy is growing up so fast.
Madonna's Creed, Self-portrait taken in my basement with my dear friend's Art hanging over my right shoulder. Thank you Lizzy girl <3
Birthday Getaway, Self-portrait taken at Hunter's Island in the Bronx on my Birthday.
I wrote these words to go with this because there is much that is untold about this photo.
I love what I do
I love what I create
I love that I purge feelings
I love that I pin them down
And destroy them piece by fucking piece
I pour myself into it
I lay myself bare but only for myself
I let other in but only so much
I keep the true meaning
I hold it as I did my children when they were babies
I hold it as I do my lover
I hold it as I do a secret that must never be told
I hold it in...
Thank you all for supporting my work, I am truly grateful.
